Masonry wall reinforcing Introduction:

Masonry wall reinforcing is also named Block Truss Wire Mesh, Masonry Reinforcement Mesh. It is widely used in the building construction area, normally used in the wall and bridge reinforcement. Masonry horizontal joint reinforcement mesh include ladder-type and truss type. Ladder type reinforcements are designed to be embedded in the horizontal mortar joints of masonry walls. It consists of two parallel side rods with cross rods welded at 16” (400 mm) O. C., thus forming a ladder configuration. Overall measurement (side-to-side rod) is approximately 2” (50 mm) less than the nominal wall thickness.truss type reinforcement designed to be embedded masonry wall. Masonry Reinforcement Mesh is a prefabricated reinforcement for embedment in the horizontal mortar joints of masonry.

It is manufactured in 10′ 8″ lengths from wire conforming to ASTM A 82 / A82M for cold drawn steel wire.

It consists of two or more parallel and deformed longitudinal wires welded to a perpendicular cross wire spaced 16″ O.C. Out-to-out spacing is approximately two inches less than the nominal thickness of the wall.
